Museu da Presidência

Museu da Presidência da República in Lisbon, Portugal, is a public institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Presidência da República Portuguesa and the role of the President in the country’s democratic system. Located in the Palácio Nacional de Belém, the museum was inaugurated in 2004 and presents exhibitions, documents, photographs, and objects related to Portugal’s Heads of State from the establishment of the Republic in 1910 to the present day. Through educational programmes and interactive resources, the museum helps visitors understand the constitutional functions of the President, the evolution of Portuguese democracy, and the broader history of the Republic. It serves as a valuable resource for students, educators, researchers, and the general public interested in citizenship, political institutions, and democratic governance.
