MAPPING PLATFORM

Flemish Parliament

The Flemish Parliament is the representative body of the Flemish people. It represents both the Flemish Community (language, culture, education, welfare) and the Flemish Region (economy, environment, mobility, housing). The Parliament votes on decrees, which are the laws that apply in Flanders. It approves the Flemish budget, which means it decides where tax money is spent. It also keeps an eye on the Flemish Government (the ministers). Members of Parliament can ask questions or call minister. (Source: https://www.vlaamsparlement.be/nl)

“Participating in the European GET POLITICAL project has been a highly enriching experience. It has given us the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into how the institutions of the European Union operate, particularly at the local level, and to exchange experiences with representatives from different public administrations. Initiatives like this strengthen cooperation between regions, encourage the sharing of best practices, and bring Europe closer to young people, empowering them to play an active role in shaping their future." - Joaquín Navío
