During the exchange, participants had a brief overview of the project and a presentation on youth policies by local governments with examples from Greece, a fishbowl session took place with representatives in the inner circle from the municipalities of Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, Thermi and Thermaikos and a different young participant who joined the discussion every 10 minutes, in the outer circle the partner organisations were observing the discussion. The topic of the discussion was &#8220;The idea and strategy of Youth Councils: a presentation of the experience of Northern Greece&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants visited the City Council Hall of Kalamaria with a warm welcome by the Mayor of Kalamaria Mrs Chrysa Arapoglou and continued with a forum with young policy makers and civil servants from Greece, such as the Mayor and Deputy Mayors of Kalamaria and the CSOs of Greece. Then, it was followed by the &#8220;Youth Policy Workshop: We are the policy makers&#8221;. Participants were divided into groups and given a realistic policy challenge for youth, then had 30 minutes to draft a mini action plan and then present it to the other groups.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Partners presented the good practices of the Get Political booklet with interactive activities.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The exchange took place in Kalamaria, Greece for the three-day exchange.
